Instructions:

3. Prepare Puff Pastry:
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry sheets to smooth out any creases and to slightly expand each sheet. Cut each puff pastry sheet into 4 equal squares, making a total of 8 squares.
4. Assemble Tarts:
- Place the puff pastry squares onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a knife to lightly score a smaller square inside each pastry square, about 1/2 inch from the edge, creating a border. Be careful not to cut all the way through the pastry.
- Within the smaller square (the inner part), spread a generous tablespoon of the cheese mixture, smoothing it out evenly.
5. Prepare Asparagus:
- Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and cut the spears to fit within the inner square of the puff pastry. Arrange a few pieces of asparagus on top of the cheese mixture for each tart.
6. Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
7. Add Smoked Salmon:
- Once the tarts are baked and still warm, arrange the thinly sliced smoked salmon over the top of each tart.
