Ingredients:

1/2 cup all-purpose white wheat flour
60g
3 lb beef
1360g
2 tbsp olive oil
27g
2 onions
320g
2 garlic cloves
6g
2 red peppers
160g
2 red hot chili peppers
80g
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
16g
2 tsp brown sugar
6g
2 tsp ground cumin
6g
1 tbsp paprika
16g
1 tsp chili powder
5g
2 cans canned tomatoes
800g
1/2 cup water
120g

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Beef:
- Place the flour in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag.
- Add the beef chunks to the bowl/bag and toss or shake until the beef is evenly coated with flour.
2. Sear the Beef:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the flour-coated beef chunks to the pot in batches (do not overcrowd the pot) and sear until they are browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the pot and set it aside.
3. Sauté Aromatics:
- In the same pot, reduce heat to medium and add the chopped onions. Sauté until they become translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add Vegetables and Spices:
- Stir in the chopped red bell peppers and sliced red hot chili peppers. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, ground cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Stir to ensure the spices are well distributed and fragrant, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
5. Combine Ingredients:
- Return the seared beef to the pot.
- Pour in the canned tomatoes with their juice and the 1/2 cup of water. Stir to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
6. Simmer:
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
7. Adjust Seasoning:
- Taste the chili beef and adjust seasoning if necessary. You may want to add salt or extra spices to suit your preference.
8. Serve:
- Serve the chili beef hot over rice, with a side of crusty bread, or your favorite accompaniments. Enjoy!

Tips:

- For extra tender beef, allow it to simmer on low heat for a longer period.

- Adjust the number of chili peppers to suit your desired level of spiciness.

- Consider adding a splash of lime juice at the end for a fresh, tangy twist.

- Garnish with fresh cilantro or chopped green onions for added flavor and color.

- Leftover Chilli beef can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.

- Serve with a dollop of sour cream or shredded cheese to balance the heat if desired.

Once the Chilli beef is ready, serve it hot over rice, with a side of cornbread, or simply enjoy it on its own. This dish is not only rich in flavor but also features a wonderful mix of textures and spices. Enjoy your homemade Chilli beef and let its bold flavors ignite your taste buds.
