2. Cook the Peas:
- In a large pot, heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the peas to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
3. Add Liquids:
- Pour in the chicken gravy and water. Stir to combine with the peas.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, and let it cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
4. Blend the Soup:
- Remove the pot from heat. Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until smooth and creamy. If you don’t have an immersion blender, carefully transfer the soup in batches to a countertop blender and blend until smooth, then return it to the pot.
5. Add Cream:
- Once the soup is blended, stir in the heavy whipping cream until well combined. If needed, reheat the soup over low heat, but do not bring it to a boil.
