- Carefully add the Pimientos de Padron peppers to the pan in a single layer. Sauté the peppers, turning occasionally, until they are blistered and slightly charred on all sides. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Be cautious of the hot oil splattering.
4. Add the Red Hot Chili Peppers:
- While the Pimientos are cooking, slice the red hot chili peppers into thin rings. Add them to the pan with the Pimientos during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, stirring to combine.
5. Toast the Almonds:
- While the peppers are cooking, in a separate dry skillet, toast the almonds over medium heat until they are golden brown and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Alternatively, you can add the almonds directly to the pan with the Pimientos and chili peppers for the last 2 minutes of cooking if you prefer.
6. Combine and Serve:
- If you toasted the almonds separately, add them to the pan with the Pimientos and chili peppers, and toss everything together to combine. Cook for an additional minute to ensure everything is evenly mixed and heated through.
7. Season (Optional):
- Season with a pinch of flaky sea salt if desired, and serve immediately while the peppers are still hot.

- Select fresh Pimientos de Padron peppers for the best flavor. They should be firm and bright green.

- If you can't find Pimientos de Padron, you can substitute with small shishito peppers.
