Instructions:

1. Prepare the Crust:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan and set it aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, and 1.50 cups all-purpose white wheat flour.
3. Add the cold, cubed 1/2 cup butter to the dry mixture. Using a pastry blender or your fingers, blend the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Mix in the 2 tbsp finely chopped almonds.
5. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared springform pan. Use the back of a spoon to create an even layer.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
