- Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into small chunks, discarding any seeds and rind.
2. Blend the Ingredients:
- Place the watermelon chunks, spearmint leaves, and sugar into a blender.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and lemon zest (optional for additional flavor).
- Blend until smooth.
3. Strain the Mixture:
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher. This will remove any pulp and provide a smooth watermelonade.
4. Prepare for Serving:
- Add the ice cubes to the pitcher.
- Stir the mixture to combine and chill the drink.
5. Serve:
- Pour the watermelonade into glasses.
