2. Make the Custard:
- In a separate bowl, whisk the 6 egg yolks with 2/3 cup of sugar until the mixture is pale yellow and slightly thickened.
- Gradually add the hot milk mixture to the egg yolks, a little at a time, whisking constantly to temper the eggs.
3. Cook the Custard:
- Pour the egg and milk mixture back into the saucepan.
- Cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Do not let it boil or the eggs may curdle.
4. Add the Condensed Milk:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
