- Shuck the sweet corn, removing all the husks and silks.
- Rinse the cobs under cold water to clean them.
2. Cook the Corn:
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Once the water is boiling, carefully add the corn cobs.
- Boil the corn for about 8-10 minutes until tender and cooked through.
- Using tongs, remove the corn from the pot, and set it aside on a plate or tray.
3. Prepare the Lime Butter:
- While the corn is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add the brown sugar, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Juice the lime and add the juice to the butter mixture. Stir well to combine.
4. Coat the Corn:
- When the corn is done, use a basting brush to generously coat each cob with the lime butter mixture while the corn is still hot.
