16g
1 cup corn flour
150g
1 tsp salt
5g
1 egg
50g
1/2 cup water
120g
1/3 cup honey
80g

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Shrimps:
- Rinse the shrimps under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of corn flour and 1 tsp of salt. Mix well.
3. Prepare the Batter:
- In another bowl, beat the egg. Add 1/2 cup of water to the beaten egg and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture (corn flour and salt) to the egg mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps, until you get a smooth batter.
4. Coat the Shrimps:
- Dip each shrimp into the batter, ensuring they are fully covered.
5. Cook the Shrimps:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with enough oil to cover the bottom.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the battered shrimps in batches. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the shrimps for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the shrimps from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
6. Prepare the Honey Sauce:
- In a separate small saucepan, heat 1/3 cup of honey over medium heat until it is warm and begins to thin out.
- Add 1 tbsp of sesame seeds to the honey and stir well.
7. Combine Shrimps and Honey Sauce:
- Place the cooked shrimps into a large bowl.
- Pour the warm honey-sesame mixture over the shrimps, tossing gently to coat evenly.
8. Serve:
- Transfer the honey-coated shrimps to a serving platter.
- Garnish with additional sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.

Tips:

- Ensure the shrimp are fully coated in the corn flour mixture to create a crispy texture when fried.

- For a stronger flavor, you can marinate the shrimp in a bit of soy sauce and garlic before coating them in the corn flour.

- Use a thermometer to check the oil temperature before frying; the ideal temperature is around 350°F (175°C).

- Drizzle the honey sauce over the shrimp only right before serving to maintain the crispiness of the fried shrimp.

- Garnish with freshly chopped scallions and an extra sprinkle of sesame seeds for an added layer of flavor and presentation.
