450g
1 tbsp cornstarch
8g
1 dash salt
0.40g
1 dash black pepper
1/10g
3 tbsp vegetable oil

2 garlic cloves
6g

140g
1/4 cup soy sauce
70g
2 tbsp vinegar
30g
1 tsp honey
7g
3 tbsp red pepper (spice)
2.88g

Instructions:

1. Cook the Brown Rice:
- Rinse 1 cup of brown rice under cold water.
- In a medium pot, add the rice along with 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- Fluff with a fork and set aside.
2. Prepare the Shrimp:
- In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, a dash of salt, and a dash of black pepper until evenly coated.
3. Stir Fry the Ingredients:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.

- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and fully cooked through.
4. Combine and Season:
- Return the cooked broccoli to the skillet with the shrimp.
- In a small bowl, mix together the 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, and 3 tablespoons red pepper spice.
- Pour this sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly.
- Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
5. Serve:
- Spoon the cooked brown rice onto serving plates.
- Top with the shrimp and broccoli stir fry.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips:

- Ensure the shrimp are fully thawed and patted dry before cooking to achieve the best sear.

- Cut the broccoli into uniform bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.

- Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper according to your spice preference.

- Use a high smoke point oil like vegetable oil to prevent burning during stir frying.

- Cook the brown rice ahead of time or use pre-cooked brown rice to save time.

- Mix the soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and red pepper in a bowl before adding to the stir fry for an evenly distributed sauce.

- For added flavor, garnish with toasted sesame seeds or a splash of sesame oil before serving.
