- Sprinkle in the chopped thyme (2.40g) and ground nutmeg (0.55g).

4. Cook the Carrots:
- Pour the 1 cup chicken broth (240g) into the skillet with the carrots.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low to maintain a gentle simmer.
- Cover the skillet and simmer the carrots for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
5. Finish with Sage:
- When the carrots are nearly done (about 5 minutes left), sprinkle the chopped sage (8g) over the top.
- Stir the sage into the mixture until well distributed.
- Continue cooking uncovered for the remaining time, allowing some of the liquid to evaporate and for flavors to meld.
