- While the water is heating, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.

- Once the water in the pot is boiling, add the sautéed onions.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

- Carefully place the 8 cobs of sweet corn into the pot. Make sure all the cobs are submerged in the water. If necessary, add a little more water to cover the corn.
- Cover the pot with a lid and cook for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until the corn is tender.
6. Add Cream:
- Once the corn is cooked, reduce the heat to low.
- Pour in the 3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream and gently stir to mix everything together.
7. Simmer:
- Let the mixture simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
8. Serve:
- Using tongs, carefully remove the corn cobs from the pot and place them on a serving platter.
- Drizzle some of the creamy basil onion mixture over the tops of the corn for added flavor.
9. Garnish and Enjoy:
