3. Mix the Butter, Sugar, and Lemon Zest:
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed.
- Add the lemon zest and mix well.
