Chocolate pudding

Indulge yourself with this rich and creamy chocolate pudding, a perfect dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. Made with dark chocolate, milk, and butter, this delightful treat combines simple ingredients to create a decadent and smooth pudding that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

2 cups milk (1% fat)
480g
1/2 cup dark chocolate
120g
2 tbsp butter
30g
2 eggs
100g
1/3 cup brown sugar
72g
1 tsp cinnamon
3g
1 cup bread crumbs
90g

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Milk and Chocolate:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, pour 2 cups of milk and set the heat to medium. Heat the milk until it begins to simmer, but do not let it boil.
2. Melt the Chocolate and Butter:
- Add 1/2 cup of dark chocolate and 2 tablespoons of butter to the simmering milk. Stir constantly until both the chocolate and butter have fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
3. Combine Eggs and Sugar:
- In a separate mixing bowl, crack 2 eggs and add 1/3 cup of brown sugar. Whisk together until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.
4. Temper the Egg Mixture:
- Slowly add a ladleful of the hot chocolate mixture to the egg and sugar mixture while continuously whisking to temper the eggs. This will prevent the eggs from cooking prematurely.
- Gradually add the tempered egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining chocolate mixture while whisking continuously.
5. Thicken the Pudding:
- Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil, as the eggs might curdle.
6. Add Cinnamon and Bread Crumbs:
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of bread crumbs until they are evenly distributed throughout the pudding.
7. Cool and Set:
- Pour the pudding into individual serving bowls or a single large serving dish. Let it cool to room temperature.
- Once it has cooled, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
8. Serve:
- Serve the chilled chocolate pudding as is or garnish with a dollop of whipped cream, a sprig of mint, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder for an added touch. Enjoy!

Tips:

- Tip 1: Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor and results.

- Tip 2: Make sure to whisk the eggs thoroughly to achieve a smooth consistency.

- Tip 3: To prevent any lumps, gradually add the milk while constantly stirring the mixture.

- Tip 4: Use fresh bread crumbs for a better texture; stale bread may result in a denser pudding.

- Tip 5: Serve warm for a comforting dessert or chill in the fridge for a refreshing treat.

This chocolate pudding is the ultimate dessert for chocolate lovers. The combination of creamy milk, rich dark chocolate, and aromatic cinnamon creates an irresistible treat. Follow these tips for a flawless pudding every time, and enjoy the delightful experience it brings to your taste buds.
