Instructions:

1. Activate the Yeast:
- In a small bowl, combine 1 tsp of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar with about 1/4 cup of warm water (around 105-110°F or 40-43°C). Stir the mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy and bubbly.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose white wheat flour with 1 tsp of salt. Stir to evenly distribute the salt throughout the flour.
3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Pour the activated yeast mixture and 2 tbsp of olive oil into the well.
- Gradually add the remaining warm water (approximately 1/2 cup, but add it little by little) while mixing the flour and wet ingredients together using a wooden spoon or your hands. The dough should begin to come together and form a slightly sticky but manageable ball.
4. Knead the Dough:
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth, elastic, and slightly tacky. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time.
5. First Rise:
- Place the dough in a large, lightly oiled bowl. Turn to coat the dough with oil. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Allow the dough to rise in a warm, draft-free area for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
6. Prepare the Work Surface and Shape the Twists:
- Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down to release the air. Turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle, approximately 12x18 inches.
7. Add Toppings and Shape the Twists:
- At this point, you can brush the rolled-out dough with additional olive oil and sprinkle with your favorite pizza toppings such as shredded cheese, pepperoni, or herbs.
- Fold the rectangle over lengthwise, and cut it into 1-inch wide strips.

8. Second Rise:
