Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prepare the Carrots:
- Wash and peel the carrots.
- Slice them into thin rounds.
3. Prepare the Herbs and Lemon:
- Mince the garlic cloves.
- Thinly slice the half lemon.
- Chop the green onion finely.
4. Prepare the Parchment Paper:
- Cut a large sheet of parchment paper, approximately 15-18 inches (38-46 cm) long.
- Fold the parchment paper in half and then unfold it to have a crease in the center.
5. Assemble the Ingredients:
- On one half of the parchment paper, place the carrot slices evenly, creating a bed for the salmon.
- Place the salmon fillet on top of the carrot slices.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon and vegetables.
- Season with salt, paprika, and white pepper.
- Sprinkle the minced garlic, fresh thyme, and fresh rosemary over the salmon.
- Lay the lemon slices on top of the salmon.
- Sprinkle the chopped green onion over everything.
6. Seal the Parchment Paper:
- Fold the other half of the parchment paper over the salmon and vegetables.
- Starting at one edge, begin folding the edges of the parchment paper over, crimping tightly to seal the packet well and ensure no steam can escape.
7. Bake:
- Place the sealed parchment packet on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and flakes easily with a fork.
8. Serve:
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the packet rest for a minute.
- Carefully open the parchment paper (watch out for hot steam) and transfer the salmon and vegetables to a plate.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnished with additional fresh herbs or a wedge of lemon.
